Amjad Barakat was crossing 72nd St. in Bay Ridge just before 9 pm when he was hit by a beige sedan heading south on Seventh Ave., police said. The car sped off. Barakat, of Sheepshead Bay, died at the scene. Cops are hunting the driver.

Investigators say the victim, identified as Amjad Barakat, 33, of Brooklyn was struck around 9 pm while crossing 72nd Street at 7th Avenue in Bay Ridge. Police say they are looking for a beige, four-door sedan that fled the scene.
